We spent Sunday 27 July 2003 out on the
Voorhoede 4X4 trail near Caledon.
It is not a difficult trail to ride but there is
a lot of mud that can be quite deceiving and one can very easily get
bogged down. The route is very scenic and one drives right up to an
amazing vantage point high up on the mountain. The last bit is a
little tricky with a lot of loose rocks. All in all a really pleasant
day outing. I think it would be pretty tricky to drive in the wet.
There is a lovely campsite down at the bottom of
the trail in amongst a lt of old oak trees.
